Alex received her bachelor’s in social work from East Carolina University and her master’s from Fordham University with a clinical specialization in mental health. She has gained experience in various settings, including inpatient mental health clinics, psychiatric hospitals, and intensive outpatient treatment centers.
Alex is an experienced and compassionate mental health clinician. With an empathetic and reassuring nature, she quickly establishes positive relationships with her clients to provide them with the personalized treatment plans they need to promote self-reflection and emotional resilience. Alex holds specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety disorders and depression. In addition to CBT, she integrates mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, and strength-based perspectives into her practice for a holistic approach to healing. Alex believes in the importance of family involvement and encourages this when appropriate.
